What is the healthy food?




The definition of healthy food is: foods that are healthy for you to eat and good for your body. When choosing what to eat, you should try to choose foods that are low in fat and calories, but high in vitamins and minerals.

There are two types of healthy food: whole foods and processed foods

Whole foods include fruits, vegetables, grains (like wheat or rice), nuts, seeds, beans, legumes (like soybeans), milk and milk products (like cheese), eggs, fish, poultry (chicken or turkey), lean meat (beef or pork) and other animal sources. 

Processed foods include those that have been altered from their original state—for example: breads, cereals or crackers; candies; soft drinks; frozen dinners; canned fruits or vegetables; packaged snacks like potato chips or cookies; fast foods like hamburgers or fried chicken; microwavable meals like pizza pockets; salad dressings made with oil instead of vinegar.
